Goodbye Envoy
Not so sad to pay $120 every time to fill you up. GAS HOG.
We made the tough decision to say adios to the beloved Envoy. (Actually, I had no problem selling the thing but Dane LOVED his Envoy). We sold it on CraigsList. One inquiry and DONE. (We've sold two other things on there...it rocks.) One little problem. We didn't have a clue what we wanted to buy after we handed over the keys.
But, we had a list.....
-good gas milage
-reliable
-roomy
-leather
-sunroof
We car shopped EVERY night for a week straight. We went to EVERY car lot (some of them twice) in a 20 mile radius of our home. We took a Ford Edge home. We LOVED it. I mean LOVED it. Got buyer's remourse before we even bought it. We ended up with a Buick Regal. We love it.
This car shopping ordeal landed right in the middle of our deck project. Once I figure out how to get pictures from my phone to this blog I will show you what this beauty of a deck looks like.
Now, we haven't finished it. Dane was sent to Bismarck on flood duty for an indefinite amount of time. So, until he gets home it will wait for us!
Happy weekend friends and family!

That is the quick, easy, straight to the point update.
Now, I am going to choose to be a blogger. First of all I like to call myself a blogger. Secondly, it is a great tool to show my family, friends, co-workers, etc. what we are up to. Lastly, a place where I can look back and relive some of the times over the years.
I have spent some time reviewing my old posts. Man, those emotions came flying back when I read the posts while Dane was deployed, around the time of our wedding, and so on. Just think.....one year ago Dane was still overseas. This July brings us to the one year "reunion" date. How fast this year has gone. How wonderful this year has been. My appreciation is as strong today as the day he came home!
Have a wonderful Memorial weekend!

technical difficulties & company
In better news.
We love having company. I enjoy getting ready to have company. Making snacks, beds, and plans.
Two weekends Nicole and her sister came to town. We had a serious blast playing Dance Revolution on the Wii! I want to run out and buy the game! I beat everyone if you were wondering! We went out to eat at El Azteca. We LOVE this resturant. The BEST Mexican food at an amazing price!
Last weekend my brother and his bride-to-be made the trip down from Fergus Falls. We went to a T-Wolves game, did some shopping at the Mall of America and hung out at our house! It was great to get to spend some time with them! :)
This weekend the Warren's are coming down! Hallie, Rick, Savannah and Trent are making the trip down from Hope! I can't wait to go with the kids to the Mall of America and watch them have a blast at Nickelodeon Universe!
Keep yours eyes peeled for pictures!

We had a garbage disposal installed and I LOVE IT!
In May (5/9/11) we will be married for 2 years.
This summer both of my little brothers will be tying the knot. May and June will be exciting months!
We are planning on building a deck this summer! That will be a great addition for entertaining! :)

Wild - Thanksgiving - Snow
The next day we hosted our 1st holiday! It happened to be my favorite holiday too! I made a 20 lb turkey, too many potatoes, just enough gravy, and all the other fixings. My parents, the Moen's, my brother Eric, Dane and I all ate a delicious turkey dinner!
This weekend it snowed. It started Friday night. We went over to our dear friends, the Reberg's, to watch their two cutie pies while they attended a block Christmas party. (How fun!) We really enjoyed spending time with their kiddos! The snow started flying about 10pm Friday night and didn't quit until about 10pm Saturday night. Good thing we stocked up on supplies because there was no way we could get out! It was awesome to be "stuck" inside! We napped, snacked, watched movies, and stayed warm! Sunday morning we decided to dig ourselves out!
This is my first time ever running a snow blower!

Dear Oven,
Thanks for your help,
Jamie Fuglestad
P.S. The weather sounds just nasty so everyone please travel safely and smartly! If it is too bad, don't drive. Pack a survival kit. Bring blankets, phone chargers, and whatever else you can think of!!

Crazy to Calm
I reflected on the last couple years of our lives and reviewed the craziness that it was.
There were lots of changes, emotions, tears, laughs, ups, downs, weddings, a house, a deployment, and all that happened in between.
No wonder I feel like I am forgetting to do something or make myself feel rushed for no reason. It was starting to become normal for things to be just absolutely NUTS. No countdown to be obsessing about, nothing big to plan, no major tasks to tackle, or no monumental changes coming up.
Time to take a step forward, RELAX, and enjoy life. Feel ok with normal life. Get a normal routine.
This weekend we will be heading to the Fuglestad's to begin the holidays. Dane hasn't been back to Hope (his hometown) since he returned from Kosovo. We are really looking forward to seeing his family! I am most excited that we will be having two Thanksgivings this year since it is my favorite holiday!
I am seriously in the holiday spirit this year. We are having my parents and one of my brothers over for Thanksgiving at our house. I already bought the turkey and most everything else. I can't wait for the house to fill with the smells of the holiday meal and be filled with family.
We hope everyone enjoys the beginning to the holiday season. May you all have safe travels, good food, good company, and remembering all we have to be thankful for!
So, I can't hardly end this post without a list. Let me count all of my blessings and appreciate all I have to be thankful for.
1. my families. Dane. His family. My family. All of our friends. Our military family.
2. jobs.
3. our home.
4. health.
5. that my husband is home for the holidays and the every days!
